REAL STAYS · REAL FEEDBACK
A curated selection of genuine feedback from people who have stayed at Synod Cottage — from online reviews to the handwritten guest book at the cottage.
The details guests remember.
SELECTED GUEST EXCERPTS
You do not need every review ever written to decide whether a stay feels right.
We select a balanced mix of genuine guest feedback covering the things people most often want to know before booking: comfort, cleanliness, the private hot tub, dog-friendly stays, the garden, location and the overall experience. Longer reviews may be shown as clearly attributed excerpts so the page stays useful and easy to read.
Where a review comes from an external platform, we identify the source. Guest-book comments are shown using first names, initials or a general family description rather than publishing unnecessary personal details.

WORTH KNOWING BEFORE YOU BOOK
Synod Cottage is beside a main road. A small number of guests mention daytime traffic, or noticing road noise when bedroom windows are open. Other guests specifically say the triple glazing keeps the cottage quiet inside with the windows closed.
We include that because the right booking is better than the wrong booking. If anyone in your group is a particularly light sleeper, ask us before booking and we will talk you through the layout honestly.
TRUST WITHOUT SENDING YOU AWAY
Synod Cottage can also be found on Google, Airbnb and Booking.com. Those independent listings provide extra reassurance, while this website keeps the simplest route to live availability and direct contact with us.
We do not reproduce every review here. The aim is to show a useful cross-section of genuine feedback, then let you decide whether Synod Cottage fits your stay.
